This packet of materials deals with issues related to fatalities due to child abuse and neglect.
Abstract
The kit includes a pamphlet on the activities of the National Resource Center on Child Abuse and Neglect, an information sheet on childhood abuse-related fatalities, a bibliography, a copy of the newsletter of the American Association for Protecting Children, and mimeographed articles from national newspapers discussing the prevalence of child abuse deaths, the difficulties in detecting some types of child abuse deaths, and the origins and relevance of child death review teams. The packet also contains lists of State, Federal, and national association contacts for multiagency child death review activities.
