AN EMPIRICAL TEST OF A TYPOLOGICAL MODEL OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS ON A SAMPLE OF ISRAELI PRISONERS.
Abstract
THE TYPOLOGY INVESTIGATED CONSISTED OF AN ORDERED SET OF EIGHT CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR SYSTEMS - VIOLENT PERSONAL CRIME, OCCASIONAL PROPERTY CRIME, OCCUPATIONAL CRIME, POLITICAL CRIME, PUBLIC ORDER CRIME, CONVENTIONAL CRIME, ORGANIZED CRIME, AND PROFESSIONAL CRIME. THE RESULTS INDICATE THAT THE THEORETICAL MODEL IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF ISRAEL'S PRISON POPULATION. EXPLANATIONS OF THE RESULTS ARE SUGGESTED.
