Abstract
UNIFORM CRIME REPORTS PROVIDED DATA FOR CRIME PREVENTION RESEARCH. ARREST RECORDS AND OFFENSE COUNTS PROVIDED CATEGORIES OF CRIME. TARGET CATEGORIES OF LARCENCY, BURGLARY, AUTO THEFT, INDOOR ROBBERY, AND VANDALISM WERE EXAMINED FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF OFFENDER, INCENTIVE, AND TARGET. A UNIFIED PROGRAM, OUTSIDE CONVENTIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, INVOLVING SCHOOL TRAINING AND PUBLIC EDUCATION, INCREASED PROTECTION OF PROPERTY AND RESEARCH ON CRIME DATA ANALYSIS IS NEEDED IN CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAMS. 16 REFERENCES.
