INVESTIGATION AND SUPERVISION ACTIVITIES AND PROFILE FORMULATION OF THE AVERAGE PROBATION AND PAROLE ABSCONDER.
Abstract
THE SURVEY FOUND THAT PAROLE AND PROBATION VIOLATIONS FOR LOUISVILLE AND JEFFERSON COUNTY ARE BELOW THE NATIONAL AVERAGE. THE COMMISSION RECOMMENDS THAT EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES AND APPROPRIATE FINANCIAL REWARDS BE INSTITUTED TO ENCOURAGE PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT OF PROBATION AND PAROLE OFFICERS. IT FURTHER RECOMMENDS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMPETITIVE SALARIES FOR CORRECTIONS WORK TO IMPROVE RECRUITMENT AND TO PROVIDE CURRENT EMPLOYEES WITH A DECENT STANDARD OF LIVING. DESCRIPTIVE AND PREDICTIVE STATISTICS ON PROBATIONERS AND PAROLEES ARE INCLUDED.
