          Abstract
A congressman discusses Federal efforts to address computer crime and emphasizes the need for government and industry to work together through security measures, education, legislation, law enforcement, and prosecution. A corporate official discusses the need for firms to establish formal information security programs, to prepare for emergencies, and to have adequate insurance coverage. Additional articles present the DPMA's model corporate computer security policy statement, DPMA's principles for computer crime legislation, profiles of the members of the DPMA senior advisory council on computer security, and a comparison of existing State laws on computer crime.
