A technical workshop sponsored by the United Nations in 1990 focused on the use of computerized criminal justice information systems.
Abstract
Part of the program of the Eighth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, the workshop was intended to facilitate the exchange of experience between countries that are members of the United Nations. This was the first time that such a technical workshop had been organized at a United Nations Congress. The workshop represented the culmination of United Nations efforts during several years to assist countries in promoting more effective administration of justice. This volume contains the reports prepared for the workshop, the reports presented by invited experts at the plenary session, and the resolution on computerization of criminal justice recommended to the General Assembly.
