FUNCTIONING AND PROGRESS OF AN INMATE COMPLAINT RESOLUTION PROGRAM AND THE FIRST QUARTERLY REPORT OF THE HANDLING OF COMPLAINTS.
Abstract
THE OMBUDSMAN IS AN IMPARTIAL, INDEPENDENT PERSON OPERATING WITHIN PRESCRIBED PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES FOR INVESTIGATING THE COMPLAINTS. THE AGREEMENT DESCRIBES HOW TO MAKE A COMPLAINT AND HOW IT WILL BE HANDLED BY THE OMBUDSMAN. THE QUARTERLY REPORT DISCUSSES PROGRESS IN IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM IN TWO CONNECTICUT INSTITUTIONS. THE NUMBER AND DISPOSITION OF COMPLAINTS RECEIVED ARE PRESENTED. THE PROGRAM IS CREDITED WITH SUBSTANTIAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED) --AGREEMENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH.
