This August 2011 issue of Law and Order magazine has eight primary articles dealing with police equipment. The first article, Vehicle Graphics Design Winners, showcases the winners of the magazines 2011 vehicle graphics design contest. The second article, Raybestos Brake Tech School, examines the brake system diagnosis and repair course offered by Affinia-Raybestos. The third article, Farewell to Ford CVPI, discusses the retirement of the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor as the dominant police vehicle. The fourth article, Gas Costs More Than Cars, examines the costs of purchasing and operating police vehicles. The fifth article, Multi-jurisdictional Data Sharing Benefits, examines how agencies in Wisconsin are sharing law enforcement data with the FBI. The sixth article, Carlson Wireless Breaks Barriers, discusses the use of a new technology for data delivery and monitoring of electrical devices in areas where line of sight is not available.
