SURVEY OF THE COURT MANAGEMENT PROJECT DURING ITS FIRST YEAR, AND FUTURE IMPACT OF THE JUDICIAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (JIS) ON THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY COURT OF APPEALS.
Abstract
A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE PROJECT FROM ITS INCEPTION IN JUNE, 1970 TO SEPTEMBER 15, 1971, AND A DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION ARE GIVEN. THE DOCUMENT DISCUSSES THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM, DESCRIBES VARIOUS MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS UNDERTAKEN BY THE PROJECT, AND EXPLORES FUTURE PLANS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT. THE IMPACT FOCUSES PERSONNEL AND FINANCIAL OPERATIONS OF THE COURT. IN PROJECTING THE COST OF JIS, THE TWO MAJOR COST CLASSIFICATIONS CONSIDERED ARE DEVELOPMENTAL AND OPERATIONAL. ALSO CALCULATED WAS THE UNIT COST PER CASE.
