THE CRIME-SPECIFIC BURGLARY PREVENTION AND CONTROL PROGRAM, A PLAN FOR CONCENTRATED ATTACKS ON BURGLARY IN SIX COMMUNITIES.
Abstract
THIS PROGRAM WAS CREATED AND DEVELOPED BY THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE, WITH SIX LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES PARTICIPATING IN IT. COMMON PROJECTS INCLUDE CREATION OF A MOVIE ENTITLED 'INVITATIONS TO BURGLARY', A PUBLIC INFORMATION BOOKLET ON RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, AND A SERIES OF SECURITY SEMINARS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL. THE SIX INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS ARE BASED UPON CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT, DEPARTMENTAL INVOLVEMENT, AND EVALUATION.
