Abstract
The statistics cover all offenses reported to the police during 1995 for the categories of crimes and misdemeanors. The statistics on offenses investigated cover crimes and misdemeanors where the investigation was completed but the offense was not necessarily committed during the course of the statistical year. The statistics on sanctions encompass community service, conditional or unconditional imprisonment, postponed sentences and fines, ticket fines, security detention, and the decision not to prosecute. The statistics on imprisonment reflect admissions and discharges from penal institutions. 64 tables
