Abstract
ELDERLY PEOPLE ARE MUCH MORE LIKELY TO BE VICTIMIZED, AND WHEN THEY ARE, THE CRIME IS LIKELY TO BE A THEFT OF SOMETHING FROM THEIR PERSON. THIS REPORT BRIEFLY DESCRIBES SEVERAL RESEARCH PROJECTS THAT DREW THOSE CONCLUSIONS. A SAMPLING OF PROGRAMS AIMED AT REDUCING CRIMES AGAINST THE ELDERLY IS DESCRIBED.
