A SECOND SECTION EXAMINES THE WAYS IN WHICH TELEPHONE COUNSELING DIFFERS FROM OTHER MODES OF COUNSELING SUCH AS ONE-TO-ONE INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING OR GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY. THE THIRD SECTION EXAMINES METHODS FOR HANDLING PROBLEM CALLS. THE BOOK DEALS FINALLY WITH THE SELECTION AND TRAINING OF THOSE WHO PERFORM COUNSELING OVER THE TELEPHONE, AND THE METHODS OF EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TELEPHONE COUNSELORS AND TELEPHONE COUNSELING SERVICES.
