A SMALL FORCE WHICH MUST HANDLE LARGE CROWDS ATTENDING SPORTING EVENTS AT THE LOCAL UNIVERSITY HAS DEVELOPED A SYSTEMATIC METHOD OF COORDINATING ITS RESOURCES.
Abstract
A SPECIAL 13 MAN SQUAD WAS TRAINED IN CROWD CONTROL TECHNIQUES. A COMMUNICATIONS CENTER WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE UNIVERSITY FIELDHOUSE AND EXTENSIVE PLANS WERE FORMULATED TO HANDLE THE MOST COMMON SITUATIONS. COOPERATION WITH THE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND OTHER CITY AGENCIES PROVIDED ADDITIONAL MANPOWER AND EQUIPMENT.
