This plan summarizes the programs and services planned for 1994 by the Dakota County (Minn.) Community Corrections Department.
Abstract
In 1993, the department redesigned the delivery of existing services and completed several grant-funded projects. In 1994, the department expects further increases in referrals and that service growth will be greater than the growth in staff and resources. The department will seek to meet this challenge through creative measures and, if necessary, service cutbacks for the lower-risk offender population. A major challenge will involve the development of a juvenile detention center or its alternative. The department is also conducting a year-long review of its mission statement to help focus its activities and objectives.
