This document provides an English translation of the Danish Criminal Code, which consists of 29 chapters.
Abstract
The chapter titles include: introductory provisions, general conditions concerning the application of the provision of the criminal law, conditions regarding criminal liability, attempt and complicity, prosecution, penalties, suspended sentence, other consequences of a punishable act, determining the penalty, and termination of the legal consequences of a punishable act. Other chapters refer to specific offenses, including those against the independence and safety of the state, against the constitution, against public authority, and against public order; offenses involving false evidence and false accusation; offenses in respect to money; offenses in respect of evidence; offenses causing public danger; begging and commercialized vice; domestic violence; sexual assault; violence against the person; and property crimes.
