THE OBJECTIVES AND PRINCIPLES OF SUCH SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING ARE OUTLINED, FOLLOWED BY TECHNIQUES BY WHICH TO COUNTER ATTACKS, INCAPACITATE ASSAILANTS, AND PHYSICALLY CONTAIN AND CONTROL INDIVIDUALS. EACH SITUATION IS FULLY ILLUSTRATED WITH BLACK-AND-WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS. THE MANUAL COVERS SUCH MAJOR AREAS AS DEFENSE AGAINST COMMON TYPES OF ATTACK, WRISTLOCKS AND ARMLOCKS, PERTINENT POLICE TECHNIQUES (COME-ALONG HOLDS, HANDCUFFING, ETC.), AND DISARMING TECHNIQUES.
