A LATENT FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM USES OPTICAL PATTERN RECOGNITION TECHNIQUES TO IDENTIFY FINGERPRINTS.
Abstract
THIS SYSTEM ENABLES THE LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY TO INCREASE THEIR SPEED IN IDENTIFYING LATENT PRINTS AND ENLARGE FINGERPRINT FILES. THE REPORT INCLUDES AN EXPLANATION OF THE LASER AND OPTICS TECHNOLOGY EMPLOYED, A DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIME ELEMENTS OF A DEMONSTRATION SYSTEM, INSTALLATION INFORMATION, AND MAJOR EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS.
