Abstract
THE ROLE OF DENTAL AGE ESTIMATION IN MASS DISASTERS IS DISCUSSED. THE VARIOUS TECHNIQUES AVAILABLE ARE BRIEFLY DESCRIBED AND A METHOD BASED ON THE DEGREE OF ROOT DEVELOPMENT IN TEETH EXTRACTED FROM THE VICTIMS OF SUCH DISASTERS IS RECOMMENDED AS BEING WIDELY APPLICABLE IN ALL SUBJECTS UP TO 23 YEARS, AND NOT RELYING ON LABORATORY AND OTHER TECHNICAL FACILITIES.
