Abstract
MAJOR RESEARCH RESULTS OF THE ENTIRE PROJECT ARE PRESENTED, INCLUDING A REVIEW OF VENTURA COUNTY'S CRIME PROBLEMS AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM'S RESPONSE. THE BASIC PRINCIPLES AND RATIONALE UNDERLYING THE MODEL CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM CONCEPT AS DERIVED FROM THE RESEARCH FINDINGS ARE EXPLAINED.
