This article compares the most popular models of ADA-Compliant Emergency Phone Systems assisting agencies and organizations in choosing the right emergency phone system to meet their needs.
          Abstract
The article compared ADA phones from six manufacturers. The least costly models were used for comparisons due to the differences in price being related more to construction design than to standard features. All makes and models incorporated the same basic features meeting the basic ADA requirements; built in dialer, speakerphone, a call connected light, and some method of identifying the location to the answering party. The article attempts to compare apples to apples, but discovered that each manufacturer offers several models, each with varying degrees of sturdiness. Most often the differences in price were related more to construction design than standard features. Because of this the least costly models were selected for comparison studies. The article suggests the best buy may also have the most features. Manufacturer chart provided.
