THIS BRIEF REVIEW OF RESEARCH ON THE CONNECTION BETWEEN DRUG MISUSE AND CRIME REVEALS THAT MOST OF THE RESEARCH WAS CONCENTRATED ON OPIATE MISUSERS AND THAT CAUSE AND EFFECT RELATIONSHIPS ARE TENOUS AT BEST.
Abstract
THERE IS LITTLE EVIDENCE TO SUGGEST THAT DRUG MISUSE LEADS TO CRIME OTHER THAN DRUG OFFENSES OR THAT CRIMINALS ARE MORE LIKELY TO MISUSE DRUGS THAN ANYONE ELSE.
