Recent analysis of drug policy shows an unintentional effect: law enforcement, rather than undermining the market, indirectly promotes its evolution.

Abstract

The risk-benefit balance of trade, as affected by law enforcement and the use of different substances, is considered. Finally, a scenario for the future evolution of the drug phenomenon is described. 1 table, 16 references. (Author abstract)
