DISCUSSION OF DELINQUENT CHILDREN WHO HAVE DEFECTIVE LANGUAGE ACHIEVEMENT IN READING, WRITING, AND SPELLING.
Abstract
THE VARIOUS SYMPTOMS OF THIS TYPE OF LANGUAGE DISABILITY ARE LISTED AND DESCRIBED ALONG WITH SCREENING TEST TO BE USED IN DETERMINING THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM. FACTORS WHICH MAY LEAD TO SUCH LEARNING DISORDERS ARE CONSIDERED. MONEY MAY BE SPENT MORE WISELY ON PROGRAMS FOR EDUCATION OF CHILDREN WITH LANGUAGE DISABILITIES, RATHER THAN ON CORRECTIONAL PROGRAMS AFTER THEY HAVE BECOME DELINQUENTS.
