Abstract
THE TOPICS EXAMINED IN THESE ADDRESSES INCLUDE THE ROLE OF SOCIAL SERVICES IN DEALING WITH CHILD ABUSE, THE LEGAL BACKGROUND AND IMPLICATIONS OF CHILD ABUSE, THE POLICE VIEW OF CHILD ABUSE, AND THE GOAL OF CHILD ABUSE TREATMENT. THE FINAL SPEECH DISCUSSES STATISTICS ON CHILD ABUSE AND DESCRIBES COMMON TYPES OF INJURIES WHICH OCCUR IN CHILD ABUSE CASES.
