Abstract
This report is part of the Court Statistics Project (CSP) and it provides concise, graphically oriented data on State court statistics. The printed volume has been designed to be interactive, allowing the reader on-line access to information in the interactive PDF version that is too voluminous to be included in the printed text. Links are provided in the document to encourage use of the Web and to provide the reader with additional resources to assist their understanding of the work of State courts. The report is divided into three sections. The first section provides statistics on Trial Courts and covers: Civil Caseloads, Domestic Relations Caseloads, Criminal Caseloads, Juvenile Caseloads, and Traffic/Violations Caseloads. The second section provides statistics on Appellate Courts and covers: Appellate Caseloads, Appeal Caseloads, Death Penalty Caseloads, and Original Proceeding/Other Appellate Matter Caseloads. The third section of the report contains Appendices that cover Index of States Included in Section Graphics, Court Statistics Project Methodology, and State Court Caseload Statistics.
