Abstract
STUDIES DEALT WITH BARRIERS TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF RELEASED OFFENDERS, THE POSTRELEASE ECONOMIC STATUS OF THE OFFENDER, FACTORS WITHIN THE PRISON ENVIRONMENT WHICH APPEARED TO AFFECT A MANPOWER TRAINING EFFORT, MODIFICATION OF THE SUBSTANDARD SPEECH OF A GROUP OF OFFENDERS, AND A PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF THE SUCCESS OF THE ALABAMA STATE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE IN SECURING TRAINING-RELATED EMPLOYMENT FOR PRISONER TRAINEES.
