Abstract
ALTHOUGH IT IS WELL KNOW TO MEDICAL SCIENCE THAT A PERCEPTIBLE REDUCTION IN DRIVING COMPETENCE CAN BE OBSERVED EVEN WHEN THERE IS A SMALL CONCENTRATION OF ALCOHOL IN THE BLOOD, THE RESULTS OF THESE TESTS EMPHASIZE THE FACT THAT REDUCED ABILITY OF THE OPTICAL FUNCTION TO PERFORM IS AN IMPORTANT CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS ON CURVES ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL. --IN DUTCH
