EXPERIENCES WITH VARIOUS GROUP INTERACTIVE TECHNIQUES AND MODELS FOR STRENGTHENING FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS OF RESIDENTS OF THE FLORIDA CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION IN TALLAHASSEE.
Abstract
THE VOLUNTEER DISCUSSION GROUPS INCLUDED WOMEN GROUP LEADERS TO PROVIDE A FEMALE POINT OF VIEW IN THE ABSENCE OF THE RESIDENTS' WIVES. THE 'GROWTH GROUP' MODEL, WHICH EMPHASIZED PERSONALITY STRENGTHS AND COMMUNICATION WORKED BETTER THAN THE SENSITIVITY GROUP IN IMPROVING FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS.
