RESEARCH INTO A POLICING DESIGN WHICH WOULD UTILIZE SOME METHOD OF POOLED RESOURCES TO INCREASE THE QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES.
Abstract
THE RESEARCH METHODOLOGY INCLUDED THE DEVELOPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF A QUESTIONNAIRE AS WELL AS NUMEROUS INTERVIEWS WITH POLICE OFFICIALS, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATORS AND CONCERNED CITIZENS. THE RESEARCHERS CONCLUDE THAT IT IS PRACTICAL AND ECONOMICALLY FEASIBLE TO ESTABLISH A PROGRAM OF CONTRACTUAL POLICING FOR THE BARRINGTON AREA. FURTHERMORE, THEY RECOMMEND THAT THE BARRINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT SHOULD PROVIDE THE SERVICES.
