Abstract
THE INSTRUCTIONAL EMPHASIS OF THE COURSE IS ON METHODS, PROCEDURES, AND TECHNIQUES FOR GUIDING NEW OFFICER EXPERIENCES WHICH ARE BASED ON SOUND PRINCIPLES OF LEARNING AND TEACHING. THE COURSE ALSO STRESSES EFFECTIVE MEANS OF EVALUATING (MEASURING) NEW OFFICER PERFORMANCE AGAINST ESTABLISHED OBJECTIVES, DEVELOPMENT OF INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS WHICH FOSTER MOTIVATION, PROPER ATTITUDE, AND ACCEPTANCE OF RESPONSIBILITY, AND METHODS TO ASSIST NEW OFFICERS TO ADAPT TO A CHALLENGING NEW ROLE.
