Abstract
THE TREATMENT OF AQUEOUS OR ALCOHOLIC SOLUTIONS OF ALDEHYDES AND KETONES WITH SOLID SODIUM BOROHYDRIDE RESULTS IN THE FORMATION OF THE CORRESPONDING ALCOHOLS WHICH CAN THEN BE ANALYZED ON THE SAME GAS CHROMATOGRAPHIC COLUMN AS THE ORIGINAL COMPOUNDS, FOR COMPARISON AND VERIFICATION.
