FOUR-MONTH EXPERIMENT WITH VOLUNTARY GROUP COUNSELING IN AN INSTITUTION FOR YOUNG ADULTS.
Abstract
THE GROUP MONITORS WERE GUARDS WHO HAD UNDERGONE A THREE MONTH TRAINING PROGRAM. AFTER INITIAL VERY FAVORABLE RESPONSE, PARTICIPATION AND ENTHUSIASM DECLINED, PARTLY BECAUSE OF THE YOUTH AND INEXPERIENCE OF THE MONITORS. AT THIS POINT, THE REGULAR GUARDS SHOWED SOME ANTAGONISM TOWARD THE MONITORS. PARTICIPANTS DEMONSTRATED A MORE LIVELY INTEREST IN SCHOOL, RELIGION, AND THEIR OWN SITUATION. --IN ITALIAN
