Abstract
The list includes information clearinghouses on family violence and spouse battering, inventories and annotated bibliographies, and resources related to children's issues and family violence, and at-risk youth. The document also highlights publication of a practitioner's manual on group work with children of battered women. The manual describes how to conduct an initial assessment process for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years, and outlines 10 weekly group sessions for children, with concurrent educational counseling for parents. Another book discussing intervention with children of battered women focuses on living in a violent culture, shelters and domestic violence counseling, child protection services and the criminal justice system, and prevention and education in schools and communities.
