Abstract
THE DEPARTMENT USES A FOUR-RECORDER DICTATION SYSTEM, WITH EACH RECORDER HOLDING 12 CASSETTES. EACH TIME AN OFFICER HANGS UP FROM DICTATION, THE CASETTE AUTOMATICALLY EJECTS AND IS IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE FOR TYPING. ONE UNIT IS ASSIGNED TO TOP EMERGENCY, ONE TO URGENT, ANOTHER TO ROUTINE REPORTS, AND THE FOURTH, TO OUTSIDE CALLS, RUSH REPORTS, ARE CLEARED IN UNDER AN OTHER REPORTS WITHIN 12 HOURS.
