A high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method is described for the identification of diamorphine in illicit heroin samples.
Abstract
Diamorphine is identified through a combination of absorbance ratios and retention time data. These data are obtained with a linear diode array (LDA) multiwavelength detector. Absorbance ratios remain constant from 50 nanograms to 2.3 micrograms of diamorphine injected, and the method is rapid and requires minimal operator involvement. (Publisher abstract)
