EFFECT OF POLICE ROOF SIGNS ON POLICE CAR PERFORMANCE, AND USE OF COLORED FLOURESCENT OR REFLECTIVE STRIPS AS AN AID TO POLICE VISIBILITY.
Abstract
ALTHOUGH THE UTILIZATION OF REVOLVING ROOF SIGNS ON ENGLISH PATROL CARS HAS PROVED UNSATISFACTORY, FURTHER TESTS ARE BEING CONDUCTED TO DETERMINE THE EFFECT OF WIND DRAG CAUSED BY ROOF-MOUNTED SIGNS. FOR THE RESULTS OF THE EFFECT ON PERFORMANCE, STABILITY, AND PETROL CONSUMPTION. SEE NCJ-10434.
