Abstract
THE LAWS OF ARREST ARE EXAMINED IN DETAIL, INCLUDING METHODS OF ARRESTS, PERSONS WHO MAY ARREST, AND TIME OF ARREST, THE DISTINCTIONS BETWEEN A WARRANTLESS AND WARRANT ARREST ARE DRAWN. THE MANUAL DESCRIBES LEGAL LIMITATIONS ON THE USE OF FROCE BY OFFICERS AND THE OFFICER'S RIGHT TO SUMMON AID FROM THIRD PARTIES AND ENTER THE LAND AND BUILDINGS OF OTHERS. ISSUES DISCUSSED INCLUDE ENTRAPMENT, TREATMENT OF PRISONERS, CONFESSIONS, IMMUNITIES, AND SEARCH AND SEIZURES WITH WARRANTS, INCIDENT TO ARREST, OF AUTOMOBILES, AND WITH CONSENT.
