FINDINGS OF DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION SURVEYS CONDUCTED BY THE CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT TEAM OF THE POLICE TRAINING INSTITUTE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLNOIS.
Abstract
THE FIRST TWO SURVEYS CONCERN PERCEPTIONS OF SUBJECT MATTER CONTAINED IN THE MINIMUM STANDARDS BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TRAINING COURSE. DATA FOR THESE SURVEYS WERE GATHERED FROM STUDENTS JUST COMPLETING THE COURSE AND A GROUP OF PAST STUDENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY WORKING IN THE FIELD OF LAW ENFORCEMENT. SIX SURVEYS ARE REPORTED ON WHICH EVALUATE EFFORTS OF THE CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT TEAM. THESE SURVEYS CONSIST OF INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENT EVALUATIONS OF VARIOUS COURSES THAT WERE DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED.
