A COMPARISON OF THE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN WHOSE PARENTS WERE MENTALLY ILL WITH CHILDREN OF NORMAL PARENTS.
Abstract
SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES WERE FOUND BETWEEN THE TWO GROUPS IT IS MAINTAINED THAT CHILDREN WITH MENTALLY ILL PARENTS SHOULD BE VIEWED AS A POPULATION AT RISK, AND SERIOUS CONSIDERATION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THEIR NEEDS, AND SERVICES - INCLUDING THE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH STABLE ADULTS.
