COMPREHENSIVE BIBLIOGRAPHY OF LITERATURE ON POLICE PATROL WITH SHORT SUMMARIES OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT THEORETICAL MODELS AND EMPIRICAL STUDIES.
Abstract
THE LITERATURE SURVEY LED TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE STUDIES DEVOTED TO POLICE PATROL ARE FRAGMENTED USUALLY UNRELATED, AND ARE UNABLE TO BE UTILIZED IN A SYSTEMATIC WAY TO IMPROVE THE PATROL FUNCTION. THE AUTHORS SUGGEST THAT A SINGLE CONCERTED EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO STUDY ALL FACETS OF POLICE PATROL, AND THEY OUTLINE A RESEARCH DESIGN FOR SUCH A PROGRAM.
