Abstract
The IAAI constitution states that association objectives are to assist in the control of arson and related crimes, to provide for the exchange of technical information and developments, to cooperate with other law enforcement agencies and associations in fire investigation and crime suppression, and to encourage high professional standards of conduct among members. The constitution also specifies criteria for IAAI membership and procedures for elections and offices. The IAAI has various standing committees that deal with such areas as budget and finance, ethical practices and grievances, international membership, professional certification, and education and training. The constitution provides for meetings, regional and State organizations, finance, amendments, and ratification of articles and provisions. The membership directory lists members by State as well as international members.
