The types of investigations for which guidance is provided include traffic accident investigations, insurance investigations, employee misconduct investigation, and narcotic and drug investigations. Attention is also given to reporting guard force activities and locating persons in rural areas. The various kinds of investigative assignments considered focus on the activities of a shipping and receiving department, warehouse security, dock security, transport security, retail store investigations, and hospital investigations. A 15-item bibliography is provided along with a subject index.
