THIS IS AN ADAPTATION OF A 1974 REPORT ON A PENNSYLVANIA STATE PROJECT DESIGNED TO DEVELOP JOB-RELATED, LEGALLY DEFENSIBLE QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS FOR THE STATE POLICE TROOPER POSITION.
Abstract
THE METHODOLOGY EMPLOYED INVOLVED A SYNTHESIS OF JOB CONTENT DETERMINATION AND SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURES. THE TWO APPENDIXES TO THIS REPORT CONTAIN COMPLETE LISTS OF THE 579 TASK STATEMENTS SAMPLED AND THE 826 JOB ELEMENTS (REQUIRED JOB-RELATED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES) IDENTIFIED FOR THE STATE POLICE TROOPER POSITION.
