Abstract
EMPHASIS ON PUNISHMENT ALONE HAS NOT SECURED A DECREASE IN JUVENILE CRIME. EDUCATION AND JOB PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY AND COUNSELING SERVICES, JUVENILE COURT PROBATION SERVICES, YOUTH CLUBS, AND POLICE AIDE PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED AS PROMISING APPROACHES FOR CURTAILING THE WRONGDOING OF THE POTENTIAL DELINQUENT AND THE DELINQUENT.
