Abstract
THIS INITIAL REPORT CONSIDERS THE OVERALL INCIDENCE OF A WIDE VARIETY OF DELINQUENT ACTS AS REPORTED BY YOUTHS IN ALL SECTIONS OF THE STATE AND ATTEMPTS TO FOCUS NEW THINKING ON THE PROBLEM OF THE CORRELATES OF ADOLESCENT DELINQUENCY. DATA WAS OBTAINED FROM QUESTIONNAIRES FILLED OUT BY 3100 ADOLESCENTS AND FROM FIELD STAFF OBSERVATIONS OF THE DAILY ACTIVITIES OF SEVERAL HUNDRED OF THE RESPONDENTS.
