This New Jersey resource manual presents county-by-county descriptions of existing and pending juvenile probation programs designed to achieve positive behavioral changes.
Abstract
The information format for each program, whether existing or pending, consists of program title, address, phone number, problem area addressed, goals, target population, brief program description, staff, other agencies involved, and date started. All existing programs are recognized for their contributions to the probation service and have the support of the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts. The programs include various education services, community service, drug treatment and prevention, driver's training, job placement, volunteer supervision, and crime-specific prevention classes. A total of 106 programs are described. The subject index lists the programs under their major focus. This manual will be revised annually.
