Abstract
"The Technology of Interoperability" reviews a variety of innovative solutions for improved communications. "LightSquared's 4G-LTE Network" describes the speed, value, and reliability of universal broadband connectivity throughout the country. "Fall 2011 Rugged Laptop Preview" previews the newest rugged laptops for law enforcement from some of the major manufacturers in the industry. "UK's NAPFM Conference" profiles the police cars on display at the 10th annual National Association of Police Fleet. "What's New in Land Mobile Radios" describes some of the latest radio technology by some of the industry's top players. "APCO Convention Preview" presents the schedule and list of exhibitors for the 77th annual conference and expo of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials. "Stances for the Full-Contact Officer" explains the manner in which police officers move during a serious assault. "Investigative Credibility" argues that law enforcement agencies must ensure their use-of-force investigations are viewed as credible by their communities, civilian advocacy groups, oversight entities, politicians, and reviewing prosecutors.
