This May 2013 edition contains nine articles dealing with officer safety and new technologies for police personnel. The first article, The Latest in ALPR Technology, discusses new automated license plate readers, while the second article, Mounts, Consoles and Racks, presents information on some of the leading providers of advanced console systems. The third article discusses the problem of child identity theft, while the fourth article, Investigating Serial Child Molesters, discusses a new investigative approach for ensuring successful prosecution of child molesters. The fifth article presents information on the ZipBridge Communications conference call system, while the sixth article provides updated information on What Every Officer Should Know About Body Armor. The seventh article discusses a company, PDT Technologies that continues to refine PPE (personal protection equipment) products for use in reality-based training. The eighth article, Women's Workout for Big Shoulders, is part four of a five-part series that focuses on weighting for women. The final article, Coffee with Cop Goes National, discusses a program developed by the Hawthorne (CA) Police Department that provides officers with an opportunity to connect with the community.
