Abstract
The section "Law Enforcement Officers Killed" presents statistics, some as far back as 1984, in 27 categories, including: type of weapon used; number wearing body armor; time of day, day of week and month of incident; region; circumstances at scene; profiles of victims and persons identified; and summaries of felonious incidents 1995. "Law Enforcement Officers Assaulted" contains 10 categories, some from 1986, including: region and division; population group; type of weapon; circumstances; rate per 100 officers; and percent cleared. "Assaults on Federal Officers" contains eight categories, some from 1991, including: victims and known assailants; victims killed or injured; type of weapon; department and agency; disposition of known assailants; and region, division and state.
